Flotsam the Fairy
I am so thrilled to be part of the LFT Young Companys production of Sleeping Beauty! I love acting and singing, dance, sports, piano, guitar and water skiing. I also enjoy participating in the Norfolk Musical Arts Festival each year. A Technicolour Promise and Jakes Women are two shows that I have recently been in. I’m learning from special mentors in my life and I’d like to thank Marcus Lundgren, Nikki Campbell-Schram, Larry Dawson, Joanne Pond and Susan Dryson. Thanks to my family for being so supportive and helping me to be part of this wonderful theatrical experience. It has been great fun working with this team!

Bert the Fairy
I fell in love with theatre when I was 6 years old. I still remember my first performance; singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star at the school talent show. That summer I joined YTP and did a perky performance of Grease. Although I was only in one scene, I had a blast! Years passed with something new in the talent show every year (be it magic, dancing, and even ventriloquism!) Then I met Nikki (Campbell-Schram) and have been acting non-stop since! This is my third year of Young Company and I have made so many wonderful friends along the way. I want to thank everyone who ever supported me but especially my parents; without them I wouldn’t be here (literally).

- Kurtis Chambers
I love performing in theatre because I can play different characters outside of myself. It makes me feel like I can do anything! It has been my goal to be part of the Young Company for a couple of years. This is my first production with the Young Company, but I have been in several other shows including Romeo and Juliet and Robin Hood with Playmakers Theatre School in Stratford. I also recently appeared in Peter Pan as Tiger Bamboo in the Jarvis Public School spring musical. I have also done some television work, re enacting a ghost and real boy in two episodes of Paranormal Survivor on Travel and Escape Channel. I have learned a lot of my theatre skills by being part of skits, plays, musical theatre and stop motion animation with Good Idea Childrens Theatre Camps. Shout outs go to my family and friends, and Morgan O’Dwyer for encouraging my to act on stage. Enjoy the show!

Mustardseed the Fairy
I’m super excited to be playing the role of Mustardseed the Good Fairy in our production of Sleeping Beauty. This is my second season of Young Company; other shows I have been in the past are the Wizard of Oz (young company), The Princess and the Pea (YTP), The Canterberry Tales (YTP) and others.
- Jada Dawson
My name is Jada Faith Dawson and I’ve been performing for as long as I can remember. A few years ago, a friend of mine suggested that I audition for Young Company after I played Alice in Alice in Wonderland for our school play. I took the suggestion and auditioned for Marcus the director two years ago and fortunately I got in. This is my third year in Young Company and I’m fortunate to be playing the queen in this years Sleeping Beauty. In past Young Company years I was lucky enough to play Dorothy in Wizard of Oz and a gossip girl in Beauty and the Beast. I hope to keep my spot in Young Company for the next few years. I love theatre because you get to express yourself, step out of your comfort zone and have fun. I think one of my favourite parts has to be soaking up the energy from the
audiences laughter and cheering. I think everyone has a voice and character inside them and they should be part of a theatre, cast and family and show it to the world!
- Ashton Harding
Jetsam the Fairy and Carrie the Mail Carrier
Hello, my name is Ashton and this is my first year with the Young Company but I have been acting for seven years. I’m so excited to be part of Sleeping Beauty! I love performing, because you get to be a different character every time and to me that is super cool. The crazy thing about theatre is that you can be a totally
shy person, but when you step on stage you are super confident! The reason I joined Young Company was because so many of my friends were in it, and I thought it would be super fun. As soon as I walked in the room, I knew that these were the coolest people in Port Dover! I have previously appeared in shows with Town Hall Kids such as Willy Wonka Junior (Oompa Loompa), The Grunch (a critic), Sidewalks End (Lindy), Pumpernickel Junction (Beth, Lottie) and Alice in Wonderland (Queen of Hearts).
- Stephanie Hoffer
Stephanie Hoffer is 16 years old. She is excited to be in this performance of Sleeping Beauty as Nurse Jackie. She loves theatre because it gives her a chance to meet new people and gives her the thrill of being on stage. Putting on an amazing show and making people happy is her ultimate goal. This is her first year in Young Company and she has enjoyed the experience very much. She hopes you enjoy the show!
- Isla Kelly
This is my first year with Young Company but I have done two previous shows with Nikki Campbell-Schram and the Drama Kidz Theatre Company. I wanted to be in Young Company because I love being able to be myself and to be able to get to know other people who enjoy theatre as much as me! I love theatre and performing because it makes me happy and I just love doing it so much. I’m so glad to be part of Sleeping Beauty and I can’t wait to do more shows with the Young Company. I’d like to give a shout out to my mom and dad for all of their love and support and I’d like to thank Nikki for everything so far. She has been amazing and I couldn’t have done this without her!
- Matthew Kiernan
So you decided to click on my face, eh? Cool. Anyway I love theatre because of the people, it's great to get to know a bunch of people. This is my fifth young company show so I'm here because my previous years were a whole bunch of fun. I initially joined because I saw my older brothers in previous shows. I ain't got much more to say really, so god bless you, reader of my bio.

Fauna the Fairy and Cervantes the Servant
I have been acting since before I can remember. I love the rush you get while on stage and how the audience reacts to everything. This is my second year with Young Company and I’m super excited! I was in last year’s production of Wizard of Oz and have been in other plays such as Les Miserables, Alice in Wonderland, etc. I can’t wait to start performing for Sleeping Beauty, this years performance is going to be great!
- Cordelia MacDonald
Erroneous the Squire and Huey the townsperson
This is my first year with Young Company. I wanted to join because I was hearing all these good things about it. Some of my friends that have been in Young Company before were telling me to audition and how fun it is. Previous shows I have been in, include Summer Breeze (BTW), Rumplestiltskins Tales (BTW), A Christmas Story (SLT), Alice in Wonderland (THK), 1950’s TV Show Family Hour (THK), Pumpernickel Junction (THK), Sidewalks End (THK), and many more. I would like to give a big shoutout to Mike Chwastiak and Claire Senko. These two people are the reasons why I started acting. Mike gave me my nickname and was my first director, and Claire because she taught me how to act and gave me hugs when needed.
- Dara Robinson
Fauna the Fairy
Dara is fourteen years old and loves performing because she enjoys the fact that she can be different personalities, and having fun with other actors. Her previous theatre experience involves singing in Delhi Public Schools French Cafe for over four years and participating in Delhi’s Backstage Capitol Theatre. Dara also performed in the 2017 Sears Drama Festival. She is now thrilled to be performing in her first year with Young Company, and is loving the experience!
- Justin Snider
I first joined the Young Company in 2012 performing in Peter Pan and I have been hooked ever since. I enjoy being here as it is a full theatrical experience while still being fun. I’ve become attached to many people here and they’re what bring me back year after year. Shout out to my teachers from Jarvis Public School who first introduced me to theatre.

Wooster the Servant
I’ve been involved with community theatre since I was five years old. Some of the shows I’ve been in are Anne of Green Gables, Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast (both at Lighthouse Theatre). This is my third year in Young Company. I love the cast and crew, and performing for the schools is very fun. I also enjoy the Young Company for all the experience I get by working with everyone. I want to give a shoutout to Nikki and Marcus for the dedication and passion they put into these shows to make Young Company possible!
- Justine Vervaeke
The reason I love performing in theatre is simply because of the pure adrenaline I feel when I see the audiences reactions to what we are doing! I am a long time
veteran of the Young Company, having participated in four previous seasons including Wizard of Oz (as the Wicked Witch), Beauty and the Beast (as Belle), Snow White (as the Sleepy Dwarf) and finally Cinderella (multiple characters). I am also no stranger to musical theatre having been in Simcoe Little Theatres production of Seussical (2015) and Anne of Green Gables (2014). Other productions I have been in include The Dress Rehearsal (Drama Kidz) and Alice in Wonderland the Musical (Town Hall Kids) most recently. I would love to give a shout out to my family for the love and support they have given to me throughout this entire process each year. Thanks for driving me to rehearsals, taking care of me, and most of all coming to each of my shows. It is because of your support and love that I am able to continue to do what I’m passionate about and that’s theatre, this means the world to me. As our Director Marcus would say “enjoy the magic!”
- Quinn Wheldon
Merryweather the Fairy
Young Company has been an interest of mine for several years. I was introduced to theatre when I attended my first Young Company play 5 years ago with my Grandmother and cousin. From that day on I have always wanted to be part of that. Watching the shows inspired me to audition for the 2017 company of Sleeping Beauty and I’m excited to be part of it!
