Meet Our 2025 Season Graphic Designer

Paige Hingston

Designing the posters for the 2025 main season last year wasn’t on my bingo card, but saying yes to that challenge changed more than I expected. Moving into 2026, I’m thrilled to continue designing the main season posters and to further grow this creative role, which has become such a meaningful part of my work.

I’ve always been interested in graphic design, even if I never imagined it as a career path. Wherever I’ve worked, I found ways to weave design into my responsibilities. In Timmins, that meant creating materials for the Economic Development department, which eventually led to private sector projects. But it wasn’t until my time at the Lighthouse box office—when staff began requesting more design support—that ED Nicole Campbell suggested making it a permanent part of my role. That moment was incredibly affirming, and I’ve loved creating designs for programs, social media, off-season events, and now multiple main seasons.

Returning for the 2026 main season, I’m deeply grateful to my Lighthouse team for once again trusting me with the visual representation of the stories she’s curated. Being able to build on last year’s experience allowed me to approach these designs with even greater confidence, intention, and playfulness.

As part of my process, I read all the scripts (and yes—you’re in for another fantastic season), searching for imagery, motifs, and visual metaphors that would resonate with our audiences. I also continued to think about how each design would live across multiple platforms—from posters and programs to social media—aiming for bold, layered visuals that reward a closer look.

Collaborating with our artistic leadership has been a highlight of this work. Rather than a rigid marketing brief, the process is truly collaborative, allowing space for creativity and storytelling. My goal remains the same: to honour the playwrights’ themes, spark curiosity, and invite audiences to lean in, ask questions, and hopefully buy a ticket.

I hope you enjoy the 2026 posters and take a moment to uncover the details and clues woven throughout the designs. It’s been such a joy to create them, and I can’t wait to see how our designers, technical team, and actors bring these stories to life on stage—filling the theatre once again with laughter, mystery, and joy.

Best,
