Ebenezer Scrooge is Victorian London’s most notorious penny-pincher. He loves counting his money, dislikes making friends and considers Christmas cheer an entirely unnecessary expense. Carols? Humbug! Presents? Wasteful! Goodwill toward others? Sounds suspiciously expensive!

But on one extraordinary Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives some unexpected visitors, and they definitely didn’t make an appointment. A series of spirits whisk him away on a magical journey through Christmases past, present and future, where he encounters old memories, surprising truths and a glimpse of what awaits him if he doesn’t change his miserly ways.

Featuring all the familiar favourites, from the festive Fezziwig to the lovable Tiny Tim, DuffleBag Theatre’s exuberant version of A Christmas Carol puts a playful spin on the Charles Dickens classic.
