Family reunions are hard enough without faking a funeral, but that’s exactly what Grandma Mavis has cooked up. When a blizzard traps a wildly dysfunctional family inside a funeral parlour, sparks fly faster than power lines go down. Mavis is very much alive – just hiding upstairs with a plan, a wig, and possibly a flask. Over one increasingly unhinged day, skeletons are flung from closets, secrets spill like cheap wine, and no one leaves without emotional bruising. Five actors play nine roles in a whirlwind of mistaken identities, mistaken pregnancies, and one enthusiastic funeral director. There’s the long-lost lesbian daughter trying to come out between eulogies, estranged twins battling for dysfunction, and a matriarch manipulating them all from beyond the grave. With a suspicious baby bump and costume changes so fast they need a pit crew.
