The Artwork of Kristen E Summers
Kristen E Summers is from the Onondaga Nation Beaver clan from Six Nations Of the Grand River. A self taught artist who has been painting for 20 years, Kristen’s art is a method for healing, self expression and most recently for creating body positivity. Her healing journey has taught her to open up and share her gifts with the world, resulting in many collaborations with artists throughout Turtle Island.
Lighthouse is honoured to house Kristen’s beautiful pieces in our historic theatre for all of our patrons to enjoy. We invite you to join us in celebrating Kristen at an open house Sunday January 22nd from 1pm to 3pm in our box office.
We will be unveiling Kristen’s new art pieces, commissioned by Lighthouse as a permanent installation at the theatre, that share the stories of Turtle Island.
